Andrew Paul Leonard won a $1.6 million jury award for multiple infringements of these colorized electron micrographs of stem cells. A federal appeals court has upheld the award.

A federal appeals court in Philadelphia has upheld a $1.6 million jury verdict for photographer Andrew Paul Leonard, who successfully sued nutritional supplement marketer Stemtech Health Sciences for copyright infringement.
