Grant Opportunity: How to Pitch the Economic Hardship Reporting Project

For “Puerto Rico’s Lament,” photographer Joseph Rodriguez and writer Huáscar Robles traveled to the island, looking for signs of resilience among the middle class, who are facing an ongoing recession. With support from EHRP, their story was published in The New York Times last summer. 

The mission of the Economic Hardship Reporting Project (EHRP) is to encourage writers and photographers to cover economic inequality issues in the U.S. by supplementing the fees paid by media outlets that commission the stories.
