When I first got started as a photographer I had no idea what a good portrait was. I just didn't get it. Everything bored me and looked the same. Over the years I've learned to love portrait photography. I still don't know how to take a really good portrait, I just cant see it. We each have our own unique vision and skill sets. Portraits isn't one of mine I guess. However, I do know a good one when I see it...Here's a list of my 13 favorite portrait photographers of all time (in no particular order).
