Andrea Patton moved to New York City seven years ago after graduating from the Hallmark Institute of Photography in Turners Falls, Massachusetts. She believes that she’s been a successful assistant to photographers such as Tony Gale because she’s hardworking, efficient and a quick problem solver. On her own time, she focuses on her food photography. She doesn’t shoot other people’s food—she shoots what she makes herself after trying new recipes. “My food photography gives the viewer a sensual experience,” she says of the resulting images, which make even a sandwich look like an art form. In the near future, she plans to shoot food full time.
