At the age of 15, Nathaniel Goldberg (see “Beauty Enhancement,” page 20) decided he wanted to be a photographer, and immediately became an avid student of photography, magazine design, and the way a magazine’s editing and layouts shape and pace a story. To this day, he says, “I have a collection of many years of Harper’s Bazaars and French Vogues”...
