Valérie Belin was recognized for “Still Life,” her series of black-and-white and color still-life images packed with seemingly disparate objects like mannequin pieces, disco balls and electrical wires.

Valérie Belin has been named the winner of the sixth Prix Pictet award, which comes with a 100,000 CHF ($105,487) prize. The award, which was founded by Swiss private bank Pictet Group, was announced at a ceremony in Paris this evening as part of the Paris Photo festivities.
