Photography Pulitzers Go to Daniel Berehulak, St. Louis Post-Dispatch Staff

"Don't shoot us!," yell residents taunting police officers who were arriving to break up an angry crowd on Canfield Drive in Ferguson, hours after an officer killed Michael Brown. Rumors state that Michael Brown had his hands up when he was shot by officer Darren Wilson. The night was the genesis of the "Hands up, don't shoot!" movement that spread across the country. 

The 2015 Pulitzer Prizes for photography were awarded today to freelance photographer Daniel Berehulak of The New York Times and to the photography staff of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Berekulak, who is represented by Getty Images, won the Feature Photography award for his coverage of the Ebola epidemic in West Africa.
