Documentary photographer Charles Harbutt, a former Magnum president who recruited a generation of influential photographers into the agency during the 1970s, died in his sleep yesterday in Monteagle, Tennessee. He had been teaching at the Shakerag Workshops at the time of his death. Among photographers whose careers he fostered were Mary Ellen Mark, Jeff Jacobson, Alex Webb, and many others....
