By Greg Scoblete

Adobe has issued updates to Lightroom 5 and Camera Raw 8.

Lightroom v. 5.6 will add RAW file support for the Nikon D801 and Panasonic's AG-GH4 and DMC-FZ1000 cameras. A slew of new lens profiles have also been added (full list here) in addition to a number of bug fixes mostly centered around improved syncing with Lightroom Mobile.

Camera Raw moves to an 8.6 release and Adobe claims it will offer improved batch processing performance when using both the save button in Camera Raw and when converting images to the DNG format using the DNG Converter. For Photoshop CC users, Adobe also added over 20 new lens profiles to Camera Raw (check here for the full list).

Camera Raw 8.6 also fixes a number of bugs including launch crashing on high resolution display systems like the Macbook Pro with Retina Display.

Lightroom 5.6 will be available as a free update for Lightroom 5 users. Camera Raw 8.6 will be free for both Photoshop CC and Photoshop CS6 owners.
