November 16, 2016

With instant photography riding a crest of popularity, it’s no surprise to see instant photo companies mining the category’s past for product inspiration.

Instant camera maker MINT has done just that,  releasing a refurbished version of Polaroid’s SX-70 camera, dubbed the SLR670-S Noir, that it’s selling in limited quantities.

The Noir will have all of the SX-70’s original features and a few updates of its own, including A100 and A600 auto modes when using SX-70-compatible film or ISO 600 film for more accurate auto exposure. You’ll enjoy shutter speeds up to 1/2000th sec.

The Noir will set you back $675. You can also buy the camera in a starter or “ultimate” bundle that will include accessories like film and gels starting at $765.

The price includes three years of free maintenance.
