The Domke brand is a legend in the photo bag industry. And while the company recently updated its line-up of satchels, don’t expect a major overhaul. That’s a good thing. The classic Domke look—part serious business and part serious adventure—is on full display in the new Chronicle bag. The Chronicle is a descendant of Domke’s famed F-2 from 1976, which was the company’s very first bag and a staple for photojournalists the world over. The Chronicle keeps many of the attributes of the F-2 while adding some nice tweaks, including a weathered green color scheme (pictured) called Military Ruggedwear. (have no fear, Domke faithful: The classic Khaki Canvas version is still available, too.) The shoulder bag can fit a digital SLR with an attached lens of up 70-200mm f/2.8, plus two additional lenses and a flashin the bag’s customizable insert system. you can also slide in a 9.7-inch tablet computer in the padded, zippered sleeve in the front of the bag and stash multiple accessories in the expandable side pouches and rear slip pocket. A dual zipper on top lets you quickly grab your camera, while the bag’s quiet hook and loop enclosures won’t attract attention when you open them.
