Lomography is summoning another lens from the Soviet grave, this time it’s the Jupiter 3 lens.
The new Jupiter 3+ Art lens will be manufactured in the same Zenit factory in Russia as the original, the company said.
The 50mm lens has an aperture range of f/1.5-22. Unlike the original model, this lens will have a focusing distance of 0.7m (vs. 1 meter on the original). It will be sold with a L39 screw mount and include a Leica M mount adapter.
First developed in Soviet Russia in the late 1940’s, the original Jupiter lens finished its long production run in 1988. While it’s back now, Lomogography is making a very limited number available initially on a first-come, first-served basis
It will set you back $649.
