Mitsubishi’s dye-sub CP-D70DW series printers, which we reviewed here last month, are now Mac compatible. The company said today that it is releasing a new Mac-friendly driver that allows these printers to work with Apple computers.

Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America Now Offering Mac-Compatible
Driver for Compact Instant Photo Printers
IRVINE, Calif. — March 22, 2010 — Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America is now
offering a Mac compatible driver for its two new compact digital photo printers, the
CP-D70DW and double-deck CP-D707DW. The driver, which can be downloaded online
at http://www.mitsubishi-imaging.com/photo/drivers_downloads.asp, is compatible with
Mac OS 10.5 Leopard and Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard. It is not compatible with earlier
Mac OS versions.

With a space-saving front-loader and simple filing unit extension, the printers are easy to
use and highly efficient. The CP-D70DW is designed for dust-free photos and efficient
printer throughput, and has a built-in energy saving idle mode, which reduces power
consumption to less than one watt. The double-deck CP-D707DW reduces print time to
less than six seconds per print, by using the 4-inch x 6-inch media in both top and bottom
The estimated price for the CP-D70DW is $1,995 and $2,950 for the CP-D707DW.
Media is $.21 per 4-inch x 6-inch print and $.49 per 5-inch x 7-inch print.
