Meet the New Flickr Pro: Better Analytics, No Ads and the Badge Is Back

 Flickr is rolling out an all-new Pro membership for new and existing users.

The Yahoo-owned service will reinstate the Pro Badge as well as purge all ads for pro users, whether they’re looking at their own images or someone else’s. 

Pro users will also enjoy a revamped analytics dashboard to track the performance of their images. Finally, Pro members will receive free standard U.S. shipping on Flickr merchandise or 50 percent off international shipping for orders totaling $25 or more.

Existing Pro subscribers will automatically gain access to the new features, keeping their existing pricing and unlimited storage for the next two years. New Pro members will pay $6/month or $50/year and enjoy 1TB of storage. 

If you opt to pay annually, Yahoo will also kick in a 20-percent discount on Adobe’s Creative Cloud Photography plan, which includes Photoshop and Lightroom for $10/month. 

In May, Flickr announced a major overall of its service, adding improved search and an Uploadr app to pull in images from Macs and PCs in an effort to keep pace in the intensely competitive online photography market.
