"David Black is a photographer whose work I have admired for quite
a few years. He has a unique eye and a wonderful sense of
light.
"I initially fell in love with his ongoing portrait project of his
father. The images are tender still slices of his fathers’
life. The moments are sweet, yet when pulled from their context;
they take on an air of whimsy. I love how David uses natural
and available light to add a calm stillness to his portraits.
His images have a beautiful air of mystery to them.
"I have not worked with David, but would love the
opportunity. Ideally I would hire David to do portraits or
lifestyle work. His environments are beautiful as well."
