Message Agency recently approached advertising and portrait photographer Aaron Packard to shoot the 2013 product catalog for Black Hills Ammunition. Packard collaborated with Creative Director Jason Alley to give the campaign a classic feel using a hybrid of traditional analog and digital technology. Packard comments, "The specific goal of this photography campaign was to show the hard minute detail and simplistic beauty behind Black Hill Ammunition's product line." He photographed the series in medium format and 35 mm using a Mamiya RZ and Nikon F3, then processed the negatives in PMK pyro-metol Kodak film developer. The film was then scanned and edited in Photoshop for the final touches on the imagery.
