Nike Air Jordan Rise Above shoot in Harlem.

Los Angeles-based  advertising action, adventure, lifestyle photographer Embry Rucker has been one busy photographer.  This summer he did two Air Jordan Rise Above shoots in New York City and LA for Nike in house. Even though people always want to come to sunny California  for perfect weather, Rucker scouted the whole country and found his perfect basketball court with beautiful natural lighting in between several buildings in Harlem for the Rise Above shoot.  Other jobs included: a  Nike "fuel stream" shoot in LA, also in house; he got  to shoot WNBA star Dianna Taurasi for Nike Basketball out in Phoenix; The North Face "Heritage" Line with several of their pro skiers (in house);  Puma pro soccer player Amy Rodriguez  and the Women's Training campaign. He shot video for singer-songwriter Tristan Prettyman  for her new album for EMI / Capitol. Plus, he also did the New Orleans Board of Tourism photos for local NOLA agency Peter Mayer and the Mississippi Power campaign, also for Peter Mayer.  Editorially, Rucker shot two covers for UFC magazine, and he even managed to get a couple of weeks in Lake Tahoe for a well-earned family  vacation.  Read more about these campaigns and others on his blog.
