Exhibition in indigenous village of the Amazon.

Last September 2011,  Brazilian-based documentary and fine art photographer Fernanda  Preto was working with Conservation Strategy, covering the expedition into the lands of two different indigenous groups in Brazil. The project is supported by U.S. Agency for National Development and also consists of a  business plan to create tourism in these areas. The indigenous  peoples are of two ethnicities: Parintintin in Amazonas State and Paiter-Surui in Rondônia State. This past July Preto went back to both areas with a team of professionals to deliver the business plan and also to exhibit  herphotographs from last year. Preto and her group were received with a traditional indigenous party.  See her Amazon exhibition photos here.  Preto is represented by Novus Select in the U.S.
