Ian Spanier has a new portfolio of work in the latest edition of The Huffington Post's magazine for iPad. Spanier travelled around the world to photography cigar factories and their owners, but felt himself drawn to the workers and began to photograph them as well. He comments, "It is said that 400 hands touch each cigar in the process of its creation, from the field to the factory," and selection of images for The Huffington Post show some of the people who wash, dry, sort, ferment, pack, strip, bunch, roll, inspect, band and box the cigars at the factories.
