Deer Island, part of Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area.

Boston-based advertising landscapes, architecture/interiors, portrait and fine art photographer Jim Lafond-Lewis photographed  Deer Island,  part of Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area.  Actually Deer Island is not an island at all, but the tip of a peninsula where the town of Winthrop is situated. The island and the peninsula were joined by hurricane in 1938. It is the site of the second largest waste water treatment plant in the U.S. A walkway loops the entire plant facility. The location and facility are a science fiction writer's dream.
