Kyle Jackson Redefines The Rapture

By Jacqui Palumbo

Portrait and conceptual photographer Kyle Jackson has a new series, "The Beautiful Rapture" which explores the biblical allegory in a contemporary setting. Jackson says his series "redefines the human response to the Rapture. Not only does it realize the breathtaking physical composition, but it also suggests the overwhelming emotional reaction several humans have to being swept away for the end of times." Jackson creates his images by digitally seaming together portraits with background plates, captured from aerial perspectives around the United States.

Kyle Jackson is based out of Los Angeles, California. His portraiture is often inspired by a pop culture visual aesthetic, which he utilizes in both his advertising and editorial work. For more from Kyle Jackson, visit his portfolio.
