Money manager Mark Travis in Investment Advisor Magazine.
In December, portrait, corporate and editorial photographer Ryan Ketterman was approached to photograph money manager Mark Travis for Investment Advisor Magazine. Ketterman wanted to incorporate his personality and hobbies into his shoot, so he had Travis, an avid hunter and skeet shooter, pose with one of his shotguns. Shortly after production wrapped up, the Sandy Hook shooting occurred, and the political climate surrounding the tragedy was the deciding factor that pulled that portrait from the spread. Ketterman's "safe" images, of Travis in a suit, ran instead, with an Editor's Note in the front of the publication explaining the creative staff's decision to opt for the more traditional image.
