Olympic Gold Medal Marathon champion Joan Benoit Samuelson.

Documentary directory Erich Lyttle and Director of Photography and Creative Director Sarah Henderson have launched their project There Is No Finish Line:  The Joan Benoit Samuelson Story on Kickstarter to finish their film. The documentary features the life and spirit of Benoit-Samuelson, the first woman to win the Olympic Gold Medal in the 1984 Los Angeles summer Olympics, the year that the women’s marathon was introduced. Her rise to fame paralleled the women's movement for recognition and validation in sports. This story portrays her determination to keep running despite barriers into her fifth decade of life. The filmmakers are just $2,115 short.  Please contact Henderson for more information or to donate.
