Directors/Producers Sarah Henderson and Erich Lyttle have teamed up with Executive Producer Ellen Schmidt-Devlin to create the unique documentary We Grew Wings. We Grew Wings chronicles the untold story of the University of Oregon (U of O) women’s track and field team and the progression of women’s sports over the last 40 years since Title IX's passing. The film expresses a unique view of differences and similarities between two generations of athletes. Over the past two years, Ellen Schmidt-Devlin, an accomplished U of O runner during the late 1970s, envisioned the need to tell the story of an incredible era in women's track and field. She has worked with the creative team, helping to compile interviews, film clips and doing archival research. The film is narrated by actress Katharine Ross and will make its Portland debut at the Hollywood Theater with showings on July 15th, 22nd and 29th at 7:00PM. Still and motion production support was from Lensbaby and Go Pro.
