Photography Education: For-Profit Art Schools Brooks Institute, Hallmark Close

California-based Brooks Institute and Massachusetts-based Hallmark Institute of Photography announced in August that they were cancelling fall classes and planning to close down permanently. The two schools, both private for-profit visual arts colleges, have struggled over the past decade with declining enrollments, financial stress, and management shake-ups. Administrators are also blaming new regulations, which have adversely affected other for-profit career...
