If cramming your photo gear into a crumpled sack simply won’t do, LowePro’s new Echelon series looks to add a touch of class to your luggage. The three-piece series includes a roller, attaché and laptop briefcase. All three are carry-on friendly, but only the first two are built to house cameras. The entire series features custom-cast metal hardware and saddle-stitched premium leather handles. Each piece is also wrapped in 840-denier black nylon fabric and offers TSA-approved locks, plus a removable black All Weather (AW) Cover to keep the bags safe when the weather turns nasty. The roller can hold two full-frame DSLRs, between six and eight lenses (up to 300mm), a 15-inch laptop, lighting gear and additional accessories. The interior features the usual adjustable dividers to keep gear segregated and protected from bumps. The attaché accommodates a full-frame DSLR, two to three lenses (up to a 70–200mm f/2.8), a flash, a 13-inch laptop and accessories. The attaché pops open like an old-school doctor’s satchel, and has a pass-through strap so you can slip it over the roller when hustling through the airport. The briefcase can fit a 15-inch laptop, tablet and portable hard drives. It also has an integrated memory card holder and organizer, and a pass-through flap for sliding it over the roller’s handle.

Price: $340 (brief); $420 (attaché); $800 (roller); $1,300 (set)
