Mirrorless camera owners have a new place to stow their gear. Think Tank Photo’s new Perception series is the company’s smallest and lightest backpack series to date. It will be sold in two colors (black and taupe) and be available in three models: Perception Tablet, Perception 15 and Perception Pro.
All Perception models will feature cinch cord pockets, a dedicated compartment for laptops or tablets, an interior organizer for pens, keys and other small items, and additional real estate to house a jacket, bottle or extra gear. You’ll also find a removable waist-belt, a tripod hook on the front of the bag, stretchable side bags, a top pocket with a plush lining to cushion your phone, seam-sealed rain cover and a divider for pancake lenses and other small accessories.
The bags offer durable water-repellent coating on the exterior while the inside sports removable closed cell foam dividers.
The smallest member of the family, Perception Tablet, measures 10 x 16.3 x 5.9 inches (exterior) and can house an iPad Mini in addition to a mirorless camera or small DSLR with one lens attached plus a second lens and related gear. It will retail for $90.
The Perception 15 measures 11 x 17.5 x 6.7 inches and can house a 15-inch laptop, a camera with one lens attached plus one or two additional lenses and assorted accessories. It will set you back $120.
