Joby's GorillaPod tripod

Joby’s GorillaPod was a revelation for photographers and filmmakers looking to boldly position cameras where no camera had been positioned before. Now the company is revamping its lineup of flexible, ultra-bendable tripods with several new models, including the new 1K, which is strong enough to keep up to 2.2 pounds of gear anchored to whatever it is you want to wrap the GorillaPod around. It can be paired with the Ballhead 1K, which can pan 360-degrees and tilt 90 degrees. It has rubberized rings and foot grips to stabilize the tripod on uneven terrain. For heavier gear up to 6.6 pounds, the GorillaPod 3K kit fits the bill. Available in a new black/charcoal design, the bendy 3K tripod can mount the Ballhead 3K (a replacement for the original Ballhead for SLR-Zoom product) via a ¼-20 screw. Like the 1K, the Ballhead 3K can pan 360 degrees and tilt 90 degrees. For gear up to 11 pounds, Joby is replacing its Ballhead X with the new Ballhead 5K. Like the aforementioned models, it has its own sturdy 5K tripod. Unlike the prior two models, the Ballhead 5K offers numbered markings on its base and a secondary knob to lock the panning position.

PRICE: starting at $20
