GoPro Introduces $200 Hero Action Camera

March 29, 2018

GoPro is releasing a new budget-minded action camera called simply Hero.

The new Hero can’t record 4K video but does capture 1440p video at 60 fps or full HD at 60 fps. It can snap 10-megapixel still images and burst at up to 10fps. It also features voice control, like its pricier Hero brethren.

The Hero sports a 2-inch touch display and is waterproof without a housing to a depth of 33 feet. There’s electronic image stabilization plus support for stereo audio recording.

While the Hero doesn’t have ProTune exposure controls, it does offer Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for wirelessly offloading your action footage.

The new Hero is available now for $200.
