DJI will have new versions of its Mavic Pro and Phantom 4 Pro drones available at the end of September.

Of the two, the Mavic Pro gets the more significant update. Thanks to new propellers and electronic speed controllers, the Mavic Pro Platinum can fly up to 11 percent longer (up to 30 minutes) and is 60 percent quieter than the original. You also get a new platinum-colored exterior.

It will ship this month and is available for pre-order now for $1,099.

DJI’s tiny Spark drone is gaining a new Sphere mode via a free firmware and app update. The mode will be available within the DJI Go 4 app’s Panorama mode to create fully spherical images.

Finally, DJI will release a Phantom 4 Pro model with a matte-gray Obsidian color shell. Features-wise, it will be identical to the original (reviewed here).

Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian will retail for $1,499 and will also be available in September at store.dji.com and at DJI Flagship Stores and authorized dealers worldwide.
