Lomography’s new 15mm Naiad lens is designed for full frame DSLRs (Canon EF, Pentax K and Nikon F mount). It has a 135-degree field of view and promises to deliver saturated colors and plenty of contrast, per Lomography. It can focus as close as 1cm.
The Naiad’s lens hood doubles as a filter holder and can accommodate rectilinear filters up to 2mm thick. It offers an aperture range of f/3.8-f/22
Lomography’s Neptune lens system features a base mount and then interchangeable lenses that screw into it instead of directly to the camera’s mount itself. Armed with a base, you can select from a growing number of Neptune-compatible lenses, including the new Naiad, a 35mm, 50mm and 80mm. The Neptune base does not have electronic contacts and all lenses in the system are manual.
The Naiad and Lens Base are available now and sell for $699 or for $449 without the base. Sample images from the Naiad are available in the gallery above.
