This Micro Four Thirds lens is, as of this writing, the world’s widest f/2 lens for the diminutive camera system. No stranger to wide-angle primes, Venus Optics delivers the 7.5mm in a lean 0.44 pounds. An even lighter version of the lens, weighing 0.33 pounds, is being marketed toward DJI drones that accept Micro Four Thirds lenses. Venus Optics says the lighter version has the same optical elements, but that some of the lens material has been replaced with lighter-weight alternatives. Both versions of this prime lens are packed with two aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements to keep chromatic aberration and other optical maladies at bay. It delivers a 35mm equivalent focal length of 15mm and a 110-degree angle of view. This manual focus lens offers a maximum magnification ratio of 1:9 and has seven aperture blades. It accepts 46mm screw-type filters.
