Hey, that’s not your iPhone, it’s Mofone! Sure, your iPhone is cool and all but Mofone is much, much cooler. You see, Mofone isn’t a phone at all—it’s a repurposed, vintage landline headset that has been fitted with an iPhone case that locks your phone in so you can walk around looking all retro as you make a call with your premium Apple product.

Mofones, which are compatible with the iPhone 4 and 4S, are handmade by
Los Angeles artist Morrisa Maltz and are being distributed nationally
at Urban Outfitters and select Nordstrom stores. Both retailers carry two
Mofone models, the “Tom & Mary 2000” and the “Simple Simon 5000.”

No, there isn’t a whole heck of a lot of point to these clumsy, throwback, plastic mobile accessories but that’s probably why they call them art. One thing is for sure though, you’ll turn a lot of heads cruising down Sunset Strip with an ultra-rad Mofone on your shoulder as your dial up your stylist in Beverly Hills. Word on the street is Lenny Kravitz has already ordered three of ‘em.

Cost: Starting at $35
