Adobe is preparing several updates to its video creation tools to drive forward virtual reality content creation.
Premiere Pro will soon get a dedicated viewing area for VR and users will be able to make edits wearing a VR headset. VR effects and transitions will now be accelerated using the Mercury playback engine.
Audio in a VR production can be determined by orientation or position and exported as ambisonics audio for platforms like YouTube and Facebook that support it.
Adobe is also adding Motion Graphics templates to Adobe Stock. The templates were created from leading After Effects artists and are optimized for Adobe’s video software. Premiere users will be able to edit these After Effects templates even if they don’t have After Effects installed. Premiere’s graphics workflow is also being updated with tools to enable responsive design and a new font menu.
