August 23, 2017

There are few sure things in life outside of death, taxes and the inevitable need for more storage.

Western Digital has released a new desktop RAID drive with capacities up to 20TB to help with at least one of the aforementioned certainties.

The new My Book Duo storage system features RAID-optimized WD Red hard drives to deliver speeds of up to 360 MB/s sequential reads.

Out of the box, My Book Duo is configured for RAID 0 but can be reconfigured using the included software utility for RAID 1 or JBOD.

The My Book Duo features a USB Type-C port (USB 3.1/Gen 1) and a pair of USB Type-A ports (USB 3.0).
