ProGrade Digital, a new memory card company founded by former Lexar Media and SanDisk employees, has launched a new line of speedy SD cards for high-resolution video recording and ultra-fast burst mode cameras.

The new cards meet the new V90 specification for SD cards with a sustained video recording rate of 90MB/s. The cards also feature a sustained read speed of up to 250MB/s and write speeds of 200MB/s for shooting and saving stills.

The ProGrade V90 cards will be sold in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities for $100, $190 and $380, respectively.

Though new to market, ProGrade has already pushed out a memory portfolio that includes U3 SD cards, CFast cards, and a CFast & SD Dual Slot USB 3.1 (Gen. 2) Card Reader.

According to ProGrade, the company performs component-level testing “down to individual memory chips” to ensure quality control. Their products come with a three-year warranty.
