Triggertrap, a company that made a shutter release and time-lapse photography kit, is going out of business.
In an email posted to Medium, company founder Haje Jan Kamps noted that ever since a failed Kickstarter campaign in 2015, the company struggled to “stay afloat.”
Triggertrap is selling out its remaining inventory at less than half price over the next several weeks through its online store. However, there will no longer be any technical support available for Triggertrap users. Kamps did say that the company would check in on the Triggertrap Reddit User Group from “time to time to help.”
“Triggertrap has been a part of what I’ve done for many years now,” Kamps concluded. “I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished as a team, and the Flickr group (tri.gg/flickr) continues to amaze me. You’ve created so many beautiful photos using Triggertrap products. Please keep doing that, even as the company itself fades into the night.”
